Situated on a beautiful meadow just outside of the small town of Sewickley, this new home sits back from the road and tucks into the meadow. The site is designed to incorporate the outdoor pool, cabana, and five-story tower and connect them as a holistic living environment. |
The five-story tower incorporated a two-story garage on the lower floors, an office space and a yoga studio. The tower is designed to be flexible with open floors on all levels. The tower is symbolic of the nearby historic water towers in Sewickley Heights. |

The house design is intended to provide an open plan with the great room, dining and kitchen all overlooking the mature fruit orchard. The design concept was to create a home that is accessible and adaptable with age. On the first floor, the design included a large, informal dining room situated between the spacious kitchen with island and the great room with vaulted ceiling. The master bedroom was positioned behind the backside of the fireplace. |
A massive wood-burning fireplace continues the view from the foyer through the transparent stair. The lower level of the home is designed as an extension of the first floor living spaces. An open stair leads you down to the bar and sitting area which also overlook the trees. |
